How the Megaways Mechanic Works
Megaways changes the number of symbols shown on each reel from spin to spin. Instead of fixed paylines, winning combinations are usually calculated across adjacent reels using all matching symbol positions. In a common six-reel format, up to seven symbols can appear on each reel, producing up to 117,649 ways.
Exact layouts vary. Always use the game’s own paytable and help screen as the final reference.
Example of Ways Calculation
If six reels each display seven active symbol positions, the theoretical number of ways is 7 × 7 × 7 × 7 × 7 × 7 = 117,649. If the reel heights differ, the ways count is the product of the visible positions on each reel for that spin.
This number describes possible symbol routes, not the probability of winning on the spin.
RTP
Return to player is a long-run theoretical percentage. It does not predict what will happen in a short session.
Volatility
Volatility describes the intended payout pattern. Higher volatility generally means larger but less frequent wins.
Maximum win
The maximum win is a cap or top advertised outcome. It is not a typical or likely result.
